Explore Samurai Warlords 070 from Mori no Akari Series: three original PNG sheets delivered in a ZIP download. Compare standing, seated and mounted figures with castle and plant motifs. Printed stickers and physical equipment are not included.
Start with the armor silhouette
A helmet’s upper shape, broad shoulders and layered lower sections define each figure. Compare the whole outline, not only the face. Standing figures make long vertical shapes, while seated figures spread across a wider base.
Tokyo National Museum presents warrior dress alongside sword fittings, clothing, horse equipment and archery equipment. Tokyo National Museum Warrior Dress That wider view suits these sheets, too. Their details do not verify a named warrior, family, battle or historical date.
Follow the direction of a figure
The first sheet includes standing, seated, bow-holding and mounted figures. Castles, a torii gate, pine, blossoms, lanterns, fans and small objects surround them. A bow-holding pose leads the eye sideways; a horse gives the composition another direction.
Leave space in front of a moving or outward-facing figure. If two figures face each other, do not squeeze the gap between them. This is an arrangement of illustrations, not a demonstration of how weapons or equipment were used.

Compare the other two sheets
The second sheet includes a rider on a white horse, standing and seated figures, flags, helmets, fans, a drum and a folding-screen-like motif. A castle can support a figure or become the main subject itself.
The third adds gates and castle scenes, a white horse, bows and arrows, lanterns and plants. Deer and cranes provide softer lines beside the armor. Look at buildings, people and nature separately rather than assuming everything belongs to a battle scene.
Balance red and black
Several dark figures can make a page feel crowded. Start with one large figure and a pale landscape or flower. Decide whether a robe, flag or blossom will provide the main red accent. Gold-colored details are image colors, not foil.
On dark paper, white borders become more noticeable. Similar border widths can help separate motifs look coherent. Leave fine flagpoles or long narrow shapes within a small rectangular scene if following every contour would be difficult.

Build a page for reading notes
A castle or gate can sit beside a chapter title without assigning an illustrated face to a historical person. Add a small fan or object below your notes. Keep any named subject in the writing distinct from the decorative figure.
For visual observations, describe what you can see: a large dark area or a striking red flag. If researching actual armor, record the collection and source separately. The artwork can prompt curiosity without serving as historical evidence.
Choose one main figure
One figure and one setting are enough for a first page. Reserve space for dates and later notes, and avoid putting a face into a notebook’s fold. Decoration should support the notebook you actually use.
Vary the rhythm across later pages: a mounted figure followed by a seated one, or a red robe followed by a quieter castle scene. Let your reading or personal notes guide what you select rather than using every motif at once.
